William Jurgensen, often credited as William K. Jurgensen, directed 10 episodes of the CBS-TV series M*A*S*H, beginning with the Season 3 episode "Aid Station", with his last directorial credit being the Season 9 episode "Dear Uncle Abdul". William also served as the series director of photography for 110 episodes, from the pilot episode in Season 1 to the Season 5 finale, "Margaret's Marriage". William first broke into Hollywood in the late 1950s, where he served as an assistant cameraman in the films South Pacific (1958) and The Diary of Anne Frank (1959).
In addition to his work on M*A*S*H, William has done cinematography work for many other projects, mostly in television, for such series as Flying High, for which he also directed 2 episodes, Lou Grant, Trapper John, M.D., and the CBS-TV pilot W*A*L*T*E*R, a M*A*S*H spinoff, which aired on the east coast during the 1984 Democratic Political Convention, but was not picked up by the network. Films which he did cinenatography work for include Getting Away From It All (1972), Terror on the Beach (1973), The Magnificent Magnet of Santa Mesa (1977), Having Babies III (1978), Flatbed Annie & Sweetiepie: Lady Truckers (1979), White Mama (1980), Father Damien: The Leper Priest (1980), In Defense of Kids (1983), and the TV movie The Return of the Six-Million-Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman (1987).
