Houlihan's age!

If she had really lived Houlihan would have been born 1920: entered Nursing College in 1938; graduated and then joined the Army 1942-by 1950 she would have been 30 years old-ironically just a little younger than Kellerman in the 1970 movie {33} or Loretta Swit in start of the 1972 comedy {35}!

Should have been her last scene?

The part where Houlihan goes off in a Helicopter to get married-should have been her last scene in the series insetead of dragging her on for antoher 6 seasons...Houliahn finally in love...but after dropping four of the mian orginal characthers {Henry Blake was killed off.and Burns, O'Reilly and Trapper John went home}..they couldn't let that happen again!!!!
