Sang Nu is a Korean civilian who makes a one-time appearance in the Season 6 episode of the CBS-TV series M*A*S*H titled "The Smell of Music". The part of Sang Nu was played in the episode by Richard Lee-Sung, who also appeared in many other episodes of the series, in different roles.
About Sang NuEdit
Sang Nu is a tinker or craftsman from the village near the 4077th MASH. When Winchester's playing of the French horn began to get on everyone's nerves, Margaret arranged for a jeep to drive over it as a prank. Winchester asks Sang Nu to repair it and he delivers results of his handiwork to the Swamp at the end of the episode. Hawkeye and B.J. watch in consternation as Sang Nu begins to take the instrument from his bag--will they have move of Winchester's awful music? but they needed have worried. Sang Nu explains that he had difficulty getting parts, and knocked together whatever he could find--the result is a weird contraption, with three bells and no mouthpiece!
