Lieutenant Fox was one of two nurse characters (the other being Nurse Able) who are credited in the Season 4 episode "Dear Ma". The part of Lt. Fox was played by Lynne Marie Stewart (billed as Lynn Marie Stewart). This was the first of her five appearances as various nurse characters in M*A*S*H.

About Nurse Fox

Because the appearances of the two nurses are very brief and they only have about one line each, it is hard to determined where they appear in the episode.

Nurse Fox is probably the nurse who is seen having lunch in the mess tent with her back to the camera. Radar has just got his food and walks over to her table. He asks her if anyone is sitting in the place next to her. She says, "No, no one." So Radar sits down next to her but he doesn't notice that she is getting up. He turns to her to say that he has forgotten to put coffee into his cup, but finds that she has already left the table.

She faces the camera as she walks away, but most of it is outside the frame. However, her red hair is visible and so this supports the conclusion that this is indeed Lynne Marie Stewart's character and the other speaking part (a masked nurse in the O.R.) must be Nurse Able played by Gwen Farrell.
