About Nurse BellEdit
Bell is on duty in O.R. as the anesthetist for B.J.'s patient, and for this unfortunate reason, we never see her without her mask on. Part way through the operation the patient wakes and starts struggling. Bell fights to put the gas mask back on the patient but he keeps pushing her hand away. With Bell unable to cope, Margaret steps in and takes over. Unfortunately for Bell, Margaret is in a foul mood (she later attributes it to her belief that she is pregnant). She reprimands Bell for not acting forcefully enough and for not asking for help sooner. She puts Bell on report. An incredulous Bell exclaims, "For this? You're kidding." "Add talking back to a superior officer," Margaret shouts back. Potter counsels Margaret to reconsider as he does not think any serious offence has been committed but Margaret insists that she is acting within her authority. Potter wisely leaves it there, knowing that her tantrum would pass and the matter would be dropped.
