Gary Erwin made a one-time appearance as Corporal Dobson in the Season 6 M*A*S*H episode "The Light That Failed". Dobson is a wounded soldier being treated in the MASH. While recovering in post-op, Winchester mistakenly gives him an IV of curare instead of morphine which sends him into shock. Fortunately, Hawkeye and BJ intervene and manage to save him.
Unfortunately very little else is known about Erwin. He may have made an appearance on the NBC-TV sitcom The Facts of Life as a delivery man in the episode "Big Time Charlie". The birthdate supplied in IMDB is certainly wrong as it gives the year as 1984. The entry for a TV reality show in 2009 is also certainly for a different person. As of 2023, Gary Currently works for Costco wholesale and has been retired from acting since the late 80’s.
