Danny is perhaps best known to TV viewers for his role as Hank Pivnik, a friend of Archie's who worked with him at the Pendergast Tool & Die and fellow lodge member who also frequented Kelsey's Bar and later Archie's Place on All In The Family and the spin-off series Archie Bunker's Place.

A graduate of New York University's School of Journalism, Danny instead opted for a career as actor/director on the Broadway stage. He began producing and acting in shows for the Army during World War II.[1] Danny was not only in the film version of Guys And Dolls, but also directed and starred in the national touring company as Nathan Detroit opposite actress Betty Grable. He was also known for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (as replacement for Zero Mostel), later joining the national touring company as director and star.
